Mission Fair

On Sunday, February 14 (also Valentine’s Day) following a combined 9:30 a.m. service, there will be a pot-luck lunch with a presentation about the Lydia Children’s Home. The presenter will be Dr. David Anderson, executive director of the Lydia Home. He is a doctor of psychology, and has served on the staff of Lutheran General Hospital and Sinai Hospital, has been active with the Collegiate Campus Crusade for Christ, and has been a “church planter.” The Lydia Children’s Home (which started as an orphanage) is located nearby at 4300 W. Irving Park Road, and extensively serves the community with Foster care, child care, alternative high school instruction, and has an excellent mentoring and tutoring program. A special offering will be received at the tables, and you are encouraged to sign up on the hallway bulletin board if you are able to bring a dish.
