+FROM A PARISH NURSE+

How can we say THANK YOU, PASTOR?

1.Pray for him/her & his/hers family. Pray for their spiritual, physical, & mental health.
2.Encourage your pastor to first take good care of him/herself and his/her family. He/She will then be invigorated to care for his/her flock.
3.Ask him/her, “What can I do for you?” before he/she even has a chance to ask something of you.
4.Find out what delights his/her spirit, and then give him/her a gift certificate to a restaurant, book store, or sporting event. Surprise him/her!
5.Invite him/her & his/her family for dinner, take them out to eat, or drop homemade goodies off in his/her office.
6.Offer a service, such as child care, lawn care, or car care.
7.Lighten up. When it becomes necessary to discuss a problem with him/her, speak the truth in love.
8.Laugh with him/her. Life is too short to take ourselves too seriously.
9.Forgive him/her as Christ forgives you.
10.Love him/her; you can be sure he/she loves you and cares for you.

Don’t just pretend that you love others: really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy in your work but serve the Lord enthusiastically. Romans 12:9-11 Living Bible.
